Adam Lee is a freelance photographer and photographic work shop facilitator based in Liverpool, UK.

Much of Adam’s work centres on participatory photography and community engagement projects. For a large part of this work he collaborates with dramatist Elaine Owen to create tableaux style, dramatic narrative images. Aside from the project listed here, Adam has also worked for Photo Voice, Liverpool City Council, Preston City Council, Odd Arts, Minerva Arts, Tameside Youth Offending Team and Halton Borough Council.

Adam’s personal work has been exhibited across the North West of England, including at The Bluecoat, Liverpool and the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester and has been featured in the Saturday Guardian and The Financial Times.

Adam works regularly with author Sara Maitland on travel pieces and bespoke commissions. Their work has been published in in the Observer Escape Magazine, The Observer Magazine, The Independent on Sunday, The Mail on Sunday, the Big Issue Scotland, Earthlines Magazine, Aeon Magazine and Granta Books.
